Tonight was the 9th meeting (2 mth anniversary) of Hope Silicon Valley caregroup and the second time we have sharing night. Sharing night is a format that we have once a month where its the members' night, not the leader. Where everyone comes to share a verse that spoke to them during their QT, where people come not to just receive spiritual deposit but to provide, share and encourage one another. This is also the week where we memorise a verse as a group, so we target to have at least 12 M&M by the end of the year (realistic goal)
The session went well and people were sharing heart to heart. I really feel the spirit stirring in my heart that God is with us, and that God's heartbeat is for this caregroup to be about being a family, a family that cares, a family that lives out strong and biblical lives.
Next week will be activity week. Housewarming at Eric's new place. This weekend, we are helping Simon move into his new apartment. Nicole was suggesting she will help cook dinner during Thanksgiving eve. Kwang is going to move even further up north making her commute to cg even longer. Really hope she can continue to come.
I will be sharing the vision for this caregroup the week after next. Pls pray for me that
- God burns very clearly in my heart His heartbeat for this group
- We hit high attendance for the vision sharing night. People who have not been coming out will come and hear about the vision of the group
- I can communicate a message that is clear and concise
- People can feel they belong to his group. People wanting to step and build this group. People who resonates with what this group wants to be.

Hey Ruey Fong, as i was praying for you, Romans 15:17-21 came to mind.
Especially the part that says, "Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand."
Think God may want to encourage you with this verse that He is with you, and that as you keep on sharing with your CG about God's heartbeat to make this caregroup a blessing to Silicon Valley, He will help them see the importance of being part of the church, and to join in building up the church of Jesus Christ here in this valley. :)
